Salsa Technology names André Filipe Neves COO

By Gambling Insider

Salsa Technology has made an addition to its C-level team, appointing Portuguese iGaming veteran André Filipe Neves as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

In his capacity as COO, Neves will be responsible for overseeing Salsa’s core technology disciplines, such as platform development, content and infrastructure, as well as operational areas, chiefly customer relations, marketing and new business development.

To this end, Neves’ 20-plus years of experience as a technology and operations manager, 15 of which were spent in online gambling, banking and insurance, will prove useful.

His most recent role prior to joining Salsa was at Kik Agency, an iGaming consultancy firm headquartered in Lisbon.

Other areas in which he boasts experience, added Salsa, include information architecture, programming, project management and analytics.

Commenting on his new appointment, Neves said: “Salsa has established itself as a dominant force within the iGaming space thanks to its standout iGaming solution and I am thrilled to have the chance to help the company deliver on its aspiring business goals.”

Neves will further spearhead Salsa’s expansion strategy, helping to grow the brand’s presence in Latin American markets and Europe following the receipt of a Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) licence earlier this month.

“Andre is already having a positive impact on the company’s business as the team works hard to deliver on Salsa’s ambitious growth targets across both LatAm and the European market,” said company Founder, Peter Nolte.

Salsa’s Head of Marketing and Communications, Eliane Nunes, echoed this sentiment, adding: “On top of that, his experience inspires people and way of dealing with the team members has brought a lot of excitement to our already highly engaged employees.”
