The Grand Casino Brussels Viage is set to host the 2023 European Dealer Championship (EDC) from 12-15 June.

With 37 of Europe's finest dealers representing 20 different countries, the event is expected to pull in around 300 spectators across the three days.

During the competition, the dealers will partake in knock-out-style tournaments against one another.

The participants will be graded on their technical skills, knowledge of the game, hospitality and control of the table.

Jaana Ruokamo, Tournament Director, said: "We eagerly anticipate the Brussels-hosted EDC, set in Europe's heart.

“This event highlights our dealers' achievements and dedication on Europe's grandest stage. As judges, we'll evaluate technical skills, precision, and craftsman/women-ship.

“Above all, we'll celebrate the social bonds, enjoyment, and entertainment unique to land-based gaming."

The panel of judges at the EDC will consist of international judges who were formerly classed as top dealers themselves within the industry.

As well as the prestige of winning the European Dealer Champion title, dealers will also compete for prize money.

The Champion will win €5,000 ($5,384), while second and third place will take €3,000 and €1,500, respectively.

Dealers will also have the chance to win €500 through five additional Skill Challenges.

Hermann Pamminger, General Secretary of the European Casino Association (ECA), said: "This year's exceptional event, a grand celebration of land-based gaming talent, would not have been possible without the unwavering support from our esteemed sponsors in the supplier sector.

“The ECA extends its heartfelt gratitude to these leading companies for their longstanding commitment to this unique championship, ensuring its continued success and growth."
