Kindred announced that its flagship brand, Unibet, has been awarded Service Organization Controls 2 (SOC 2) Type 2 compliance status in Ontario.
As a casino and sportsbook operator, Unibet had to undergo strict assessment for the audit procedure.
This involved an inspection of all business practice aspects, including data management, system availability, risk assessment, change management, as well as logical and physical access controls.
The audit was conducted by MNP LLP, an accounting firm in Canada, which confirmed that the standards at both Unibet and its partner Pala Interactive met the Trust Service Criteria of integrity requirements.

Unibet has been operating in Canadian markets since it launched on 4 April, 2023, as one of the first companies to go live in Ontario.
