Rivalry has launched a same-game parlay sports betting product on its platforms, which will be marketed as ‘Same Game Combos.’

Same-game parlays allow users to build multiple bets within one match, for example, they can bet on a particular team winning, a particular player scoring the most amount of points and even who will draw first blood all within the same round.

Combining multiple legs in a single match like this can result in higher odds and potentially higher payouts for bettors.

Steven Salz, Rivalry Co-Founder and CEO, said: “Finding success among Millennial and Gen Z customers means being first to introduce new sports wagering experiences at the edge of technical and product innovation where this audience lives.

“Same Game Combos brings one of the most popular bets on the board to an audience of deeply engaged esports fans while extending Rivalry’s position at the vanguard of betting entertainment.”

Custom branding and animations, designed specifically with the Millennial and Gen Z audience in mind, will be used for the Same Game Combos.

To support the new product, Rivalry will continue to use data feeds provided by PandaScore.

David King, Rivalry Director of Product Design, said: “It's important to add depth to our products and more options for our users.

“We are building for an under-30 demographic that have high expectations for the entertainment products they consume.

“Delivering on that level of entertainment, while creating a meaningful user experience, adds material value to the Rivalry platform.”

Same Game Combos will be available on top League of Legends, Counter-Strike, and Dota 2 esports matches, with additional betting markets and games being made available at a later date.

In its recent conference call, DraftKings explained that same-game parlays could be the key to industry-wide EBITDA improvements.
