Merkur, a European casino games developer and subsidiary of The Gauselmann Group, has entered into an agreement with Gaming Arts.

The collaboration will focus on the development and supply of casino games for casinos across North America.

This marks Merkur’s intention to expand into a direct supplier for the US markets.

Juergen Stuehmeyer, Gauselmann AG Board Member, said: "We are excited about the immense potential that this cooperation with Gaming Arts brings to Merkur in our efforts to expand into North America.

"Gaming Arts' rapid growth and innovation in the gaming supplier space have created an outstanding platform for growth in this crucial global market.

“We look forward to having Gaming Arts' CEO Mike Dreitzer lead this team in close cooperation with Merkur going forward.”

Gaming Arts is a Las Vegas-based casino technology provider, with equipment spanning electronic gaming machines, electronic table games, bingo and keno.

Merkur will be able to make use of the 170 gaming jurisdictions that Gaming Arts is already licenced in, including states across North America, Latin America and the Pacific Rim.

David Colvin, Gaming Arts Owner, said: "We believe this partnership is a pivotal moment in Gaming Arts' journey.

"Merkur's global reach and reputation for excellence align perfectly with our aspirations for growth and innovation.

“Together, we are poised to deliver exceptional gaming experiences to players in North America."

This expansion comes pretty soon after Mekur extended its partnership with Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) for its automated affiliate marketing compliance tool.
