BetMGM has announced the addition of the Buffalo slot game to its online casino platform in Ontario. This move expands BetMGM's catalogue of games, which includes over 2,500 titles, including 250 games produced in-house by Entain.

Buffalo, originally a land-based casino slot machine developed by Aristocrat, has been reimagined for online play by Anaxi, Aristocrat's online Real Money Gaming division.

The game features 20 lines and a 5×4 layout, with players aiming to achieve wins by filling the screen with Buffalo symbols.

BetMGM's VP of Gaming, Angus Nisbet, said: "Buffalo gained a huge following with its stunning wildlife graphics and the yell of ‘Buffalo!’ across casino floors. Anaxi did a fantastic job translating a land-based legend to iGaming. BetMGM loves bringing big games like Buffalo to our players.”

This launch follows a strategic partnership between BetMGM and Anaxi, announced in February 2023. Since then, BetMGM has been offering gaming content to its players.

Notably, BetMGM became the first online casino globally to offer the Buffalo slot, initially launching in Pennsylvania and later in Michigan. Since its debut, Buffalo has consistently ranked among the top 10 grossing slots at BetMGM.

In January 2024, BetMGM partnered with Charlotte Motor Speedway, enabling the operator to bring its online sports betting platform to North Carolina once legalised sports betting launches in the state.

Additionally, BetMGM was recently recognised for its success in the UK market, with its sports betting and casino app reaching the top spot in the UK's Apple App Store.

Nisbet, meanwhile, recently spoke exclusively to Gaming America.
