Social game developers Wooga offer up their expertise

Wooga
al and social game developers Wooga have announced a new strategy that will see them partner with and publish games from other developers.

The German-based company, which was founded in 2009, are focussing on titles similar to their own – in that they will be free-to-play – and will use their market knowledge to offer guidance on monetisation and user experience.

Wooga’s first collaboration is a partnership with Danish developers Tactile Entertainment, with the firms’ Airheads Jump game set to launch in September on iPhone and Android smartphones.

Wooga CEO and co-founder Jens Begemann said: “These announcements highlight Wooga’s positive growth in the last few years. Our publishing strategy allows us to promote impressive games that would otherwise struggle for attention in the competitive app market.”

Tactile Entertainment CEO and founder Asbjørn Søndergaard said of the partnership: “We’re confident that Wooga’s infrastructure and experience will allow Airheads Jump to get the visibility required for success in today’s app market. The collaborative approach we’ve had working with Wooga has been invaluable in preparing the game for launch, and we can’t wait to release it to the world.” Bruce Archer
