Altenar has been granted a B2B licence by Spelinspektionen, the Swedish regulator.

Sweden continues to be an interesting and dynamic market, with it demonstrating keen engagement with sports betting, seeing a 7% increase in gross gaming revenue in 2022 compared to the previous year. However, its channelisation rate has recently been questioned.

Many other companies in the gambling industry have also begun to make moves in the Swedish market. This comes as Sweden implements new rules and regulations for the gaming market that come into effect on 1 July 2023.

The attainment of the licence is the latest in a series of new deals and partnerships that Altenar has secured within Europe, in an attempt to boost the sportsbook’s global profile.

This year, Altenar signed a partnership with BetMarket, which saw Altenar make its debut in the Bulgarian market. Altenar also entered into a partnership with Winpot, in a bid to increase its footprint in the Latin America market.

Altenar's market expert & Sales Manager, Diego Salas, recently discussed the evolution of LatAm’s sports betting market.

Marina Zacharopoulou, Technical Compliance Manager at Altenar, said: “We have undergone a rigorous evaluation process and have demonstrated our commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality, security and responsible gaming.

“We are proud to have received this prestigious licence as it will enable us to continue delivering exceptional sportsbook solutions to our esteemed clientele.

“Altenar remains dedicated to maintaining its reputation as a trusted and reliable provider of gaming software.”
