NetBet has announced that former professional footballer Ray Parlour has taken on the role of its UK brand ambassador for the 2024 season.

Parlour will be the first football ambassador that NetBet has partnered with in recent years and this announcement comes shortly after the brand launched its new sports betting app this month, which includes weekly free-to-play games, daily promotions and thousands of markets across a variety of sports and leagues.

The former Arsenal legend, often referred to as the ‘Romford Pele’ by his fanbase, won three Premier League titles, four FA Cups, the League Cup, the UEFA Cup Winners Cup and three Community Shields during his time with the Gunners and brings with him knowledge of horseracing, golf and of course football.

Through this deal, he will appear across NetBet’s sport and casino marketing campaigns, promoting the NetBet brand.

NetBet Managing Director, Marcel Prioteasa, said: “We’re delighted to have Ray as part of our team. We know that our players know a thing or two about sport, and with Ray being one of the most loved characters in football, we’re excited for them to enjoy his exclusive content and expert opinion.”

Parlour himself added: "I’m thrilled to be part of NetBet. We’ve got an unbelievable year of sport ahead and NetBet has some fantastic plans for me to get involved with.”

This follows on from a busy end to 2023 for NetBet, which saw its Italy division partner with Red Tiger, Stakelogic and Platipus
