WPT to host inaugural Macau event with Allied Gaming & Entertainment and Wynn Resorts

The deal will see the WPT be brought to Macau for the first time.

Allied Gaming & Entertainment (AGAE) has signed a deal with World Poker Tour (WPT) and Wynn Macau.

This joint partnership will see the inaugural WPT event to Macau, with AGAE responsible for the marketing, production and management of the events.

Yinghua Chen, AGAE CEO, said: “We are thrilled to be joining forces with two esteemed global partners, bringing the World Poker Tour to Macau.

“With a shared commitment to enhancing offerings in this burgeoning entertainment market, we are poised to make a significant impact.

“This marks WPT’s inaugural physical presence in Macau after over two decades of operation.”

The Macau WPT event will start on 18 June and will run until 24 June, with a High Roller event with a buy-in of HK$200,000 (US$25,561.86) from June 19-20.

Adam Pliska, WPT CEO, said: “Macau has long been a sought-after destination for us, wanting to deliver the WPT experience to the region.

“Thank you to AGAE and Wynn Macau for making this dream come true. We look forward to an incredible event.”

As for the main WPT Championship, the buy-in will be HK$40,000.

Wynn Macau is operated by the international resort developer, Wynn Resorts.

In Macau's FY2023 report, December alone was up 433% year-on-year as the industry continues to recover.
