TikTok influencer Sarah Cline and former Barstool Sports contributor Joey Mulinaro will take part in A Stake in Stardom, as a way of experiencing the life of thoroughbred racing through engaging with the sport and attendance of major events.
The initiative shows the two receiving minority ownership stakes in their own horses from West Point Thoroughbreds. Cline’s horse is a three-year-old colt called Giant Game, which finished third in the 2021 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, while Molinaro is paired with Vinco, a three-year-old colt who was bought by Terry Finley, President and CEO of West Point Thoroughbreds for $1.5m.
Through the minority stake, a percentage payment of any winnings will be paid out during the season.
Stephen B Panus, TJC Media Ventures and America's Best Racing President, said: "By providing the brand ambassadors with an ownership stake, everyone will have an all-access look from stable to starting gate. We're incredibly grateful to Terry Finley and West Point Thoroughbred for their collaboration with ABR and for helping to amplify the message that horse racing is truly a sport for everyone."
"We're excited to welcome both Sarah and Joey into the West Point Thoroughbred family and the world of Thoroughbred ownership in partnership with ABR," commented Finley. "We look forward to an exciting 2022 racing season for both Giant Game and Vinco and to sharing the excitement with Sarah and Joey."
