First off, Barcelona and Prague will host EPT events in August and December 2022 respectively.
The Catalonian city will welcome players from 8–21 August, when they will be able to participate in a number of tournaments at the Casino Barcelona. The Czech capital, meanwhile, will host tournaments from 7–18 December at King’s Casino Prague.
More regional tours were also announced, with PokerStars’ UK and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) set to return to Dublin after six years. This will take place from 16–22 May at the Bonnington Hotel.
PokerStars will also sponsor a Summer Poker Festival for the first time, running from 18–26 June in Malta, with the Main Event a joint UKIPT and Estrellas Poker Tour (ESPT) venture.
Finally, the brand will return to the Bahamas in early 2023 for its Players Championship. This will run from 30 January to 3 February during a special edition of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA).
“We have missed our live events as much as our players, so it is our true pleasure to announce the PokerStars Players Championship will take place at Baha Mar in January,” said Severin Rasset, Managing Director & Commercial Officer at PokerStars.
“Beautiful location, hundreds of qualifiers, with millions to win. If there is one tournament to choose for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, it will be the PSPC.”
