WSOP.ca is an online poker room that is fully regulated by iGaming Ontario.

Players based in the Canadian province with existing GGPoker accounts now have to transfer them to WSOP.ca; once their accounts are successfully verified and transferred to the new online poker room, they will gain access to all benefits of the new platform.

To provide its players access to an entertaining poker experience, WSOP will be hosting an Ontario WSOP Online Circuit Series headlined by 12 WSOP Ring events. The winner of each will take home the WSOP gold ring, along with their share of the prize pool.

Daniel Negreanu, six-time WSOP bracelet winner and GGPoker Global Ambassador, commented: “Growing up in Toronto, I dreamed of playing in the World Series of Poker.

"Now, 25 years after I moved to Las Vegas to chase WSOP bracelets, you can compete online in WSOP events in Ontario, all running on GGPoker’s amazing platform – how cool is that?”

WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart added: “Canadian poker players have always been a significant portion of the WSOP playing base. We are thrilled to bring the chance for WSOP glory to you.

"With online bracelets and exclusive qualifiers to the WSOP in Las Vegas, we expect a wave of new WSOP champions from the 6ix.”

The launch of the new poker room comes soon after WSOP confirmed the return of its online poker festival along with its partner GGPoker.
