Super Group acquires Digital Gaming Corporation

Parent company of Betway, Super Group, has completed the acquisition of online sports betting and iGaming company Digital Gaming Corporation.

Super Group acquires Digital Gaming Corporation

Digital Gaming is currently live in eight US states, with market access in four further states, which the company plans to enter in the future.

Super Group’s acquisition of Digital Gaming has enabled its own US market entry, something the company says “enhances its global footprint.”

Digital Gaming is live in all of Iowa, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Virginia and Ohio – utilising the Betway brand which it had previously licensed from Super Group on an exclusive basis.

Digital Gaming – and now, by extension, Super Group – next plans to enter the state of Louisiana during the first quarter of 2023.

Super Group CEO Neal Menashe said: “We are excited to officially welcome Digital Gaming into Super Group. We look forward to working more closely with the team as we apply our proven toolkit to the US.

“With a healthy balance sheet and a consistent track record of driving profitable growth, Super Group is well positioned to enter the US market, enhancing our global footprint.”

Recently, Super Group announced it was on track to earn €1.15bn ($1.21bn) in total revenue for 2022. Yet to release its full-year results, Super Group also stated it expects EBITDA to be in the range of €200m and €215m for 2022.

This is the same revenue and earnings guidance that Super Group reported in August of 2022. The guidance is lower than the initial guidance of €1.4bn and €345m, which Super Group gave when reporting its 2021 result.
