Online gambling in Delaware experiences 93% H1 net revenue rise following a record June

regulated i-gaming market in Delaware generated net revenue of $1.5m for the first six months of 2016, representing a 93% year-on-year increase on the $796,908 returned in the first half of last year.

The growth was fuelled in part by a record return for June, with $304,874.30 the highest monthly net revenue recorded for i-gaming in the state since the first licenses were issued in 2013, and a 180% year-on-year rise.

The state’s three licensed operators – Delaware Park, Dover Downs and Harrington Raceway and Casino – all recorded increases in their net revenue for June.

The total amount played by punters in June stands at $8.5m, a rise of 164%, coupled with a 162% year-on-year increase in the total amount won, with $8188,868.16 paid out to Delaware residents during the period.

The net revenue generated by video lottery games saw the most dramatic revenue increase in June, growing from $45,250.30 last year to $185,865.96 for 2016.

Net revenue for table games rose to $82,697.39 from $32,811.98, while poker rake & fee remained steady, growing $5635.82 to $36,310.95.
