Mr Vegas, the casino brand owned by gaming operator Videoslots, has expanded its sponsorship portfolio by becoming the sponsor of the Snooker 900, a World Seniors Snooker (WSS) tournament.
The WSS Snooker 900 event, scheduled for December 29th at Epsom Racecourse, is set to be broadcast exclusively on Channel 5 in the UK during the festive season. It promises to feature snooker legends like Stephen Hendry and Jimmy White in a quick-fire round-robin format, with the top two from each group advancing to the knockout stages.
Mr Vegas has been on an expansion spree, recently entering partnerships with EFL club West Bromwich Albion and the PDC, where it was named the title sponsor of two of the PDC's major tournaments over the next year.
Ulle Skottling, Deputy CEO at Mr Vegas, said: “Following on from recent deals within football and darts, we are excited to extend Mr Vegas’ outreach into snooker during one of the busiest times of the year. The UK is a key territory for us and announcing this trio of sponsorships over the past two months will undoubtedly boost Mr Vegas’ reputation within the sporting world.”
This move follows Mr Vegas' title sponsorship of two Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events, the Grand Slam of Darts and the Nordic Masters. The Grand Slam of Darts is set to take place at Aldersley Leisure Village in Wolverhampton this November, while the Nordic Masters will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark, in June 2024, with both events being broadcast live in the UK and other regions.
Videoslots, the parent company of Mr Vegas, has been expanding its reach in the gaming industry. In June 2023, it launched its online casino in Ontario, Canada, and subsequently engaged in a partnership with Raw iGaming.
