Stacey Carnell from Ladbrokes has emerged as the 'Betting Shop Manager of the Year' at the Betting Shop Manager of the Year competition.
The recognition was presented to Carnell by former England and Yorkshire cricketer Ryan Sidebottom at Lord’s Cricket Ground on Monday night.
Selected by an independent panel of judges, Carnell's victory was attributed to her attitude, customer service and leadership skills, marking her as one of Ladbrokes' most successful branch managers.
Having transitioned to Ladbrokes after the Coral merger in 2016, Carnell currently manages the Ladbrokes shop in Barnsley and holds the title of regional champion for the north and northeast.
She said: "I've had some amazing shops; I've got excellent support. The company looks after its people so much."
Joanne Moran, Retail Operations Director for Ladbrokes, commented: "She spoke beautifully about the important community role her betting shops and all betting shops, provide and the personal care and attention that she and her shop team show their customers day in day out.
"She is a credit to Ladbrokes and Entain, and we look forward to shining a spotlight on her amazing achievement in the months to come."
This triumph adds to Ladbrokes' series of notable events, including its collaboration with Powerleague in February 2023. The partnership enabled football players across the UK and Ireland to access Powerleague pitches for free, coupled with the launch of a nationwide football tournament.
In a subsequent venture, Ladbrokes, in collaboration with The O2, AEG Presents and NME, introduced Ladbrokes Live, a digital entertainment platform rewarding fans with free access to live shows in the UK.
