The iconic fir trees, removed during the summer for improved viewing of the Formula One race, are expected to return to their sidewalk location in front of the Bellagio fountains.

MGM Resorts International, the property's owner, seems to be expeditiously working towards restoring the signature fir tree aesthetic.

Krystal Webb from MGM mentioned in an email on Monday evening that the timeline and specific tree species for the streetside are still under consideration. However, she confirmed that the trees along the lakeside are anticipated to be back by the end of the year, a detail previously reported.

The decision to remove all the trees was part of Bellagio's strategy to enhance sightlines for Formula One patrons, who gathered in the temporary three-story, 3,600-seat Bellagio Fountain Club constructed on the sidewalk in front of the fountains. The construction work, adhering to F1 standards, caused traffic disruptions and public dissatisfaction from spring until shortly before the Grand Prix earlier this month.

Following the Nov. 18 Grand Prix conclusion, MGM expressed its commitment to swiftly restoring the area in front of its properties to normalcy before Christmas. Andrew Lanzino, MGM Resorts' vice president of citywide events. strategy, emphasized the temporary nature of the construction, emphasizing the need for it to align with Bellagio's prestigious reputation.
