The National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) has signed a deal with SG:certified.

This is to support the evaluation process of the Internet Compliance Assessment Program (iCAP), a US accreditation for player protection in online gambling.

The programme will utilise SG:certified, a platform that offers a variety of compliance educational resources.

The iCAP is based on the Internet Responsible Gambling Standards and has been updated multiple times since it was first launched in 2012.

It is built on three major pillars; a framework of evidence of player protection, audits carried out by independent gambling consultancy specialists and an assessment from the NCPG team.

Keith Whyte, NCPG Executive Director, said: “This partnership builds upon NCPG's dedication to mitigating gambling-related harm.

“By facilitating the iCAP assessment through the SG:certified platform, NCPG aims to provide a more streamlined and comprehensive experience for online gambling operators seeking certification, allowing their energy to remain focused on keeping players safe.”

The NCPG is a nonprofit organisation in the US that is dedicated to reducing gambling-related harm.

Maris Catania, SG:certified Senior Safer Gambling Consultant, said: “At SG:certified, we are passionate about simplifying the certification process, so we are excited that NCPG has chosen our platform to facilitate their iCAP certification.

“This will help operators stay at the forefront of responsible gambling practices, join the league of iCAP-accredited platforms and continue their journey towards excellence.”

Other courses on SG:certified include understanding vulnerable customers, product risk and measuring safer gambling awareness.

Another company that collaborated with SG:certified was Crucial Compliance, which launched an anti-money laundering programme on the platform.
