Ackroyd has communicated her intention to step down with a view to joining an operator in the gambling sector. She will continue in her role until 31 March 2024 to help facilitate a smooth transition during this period.
The company has now initiated the process of identifying a suitable replacement for the CFO position, with further updates for shareholders set to be provided in due course.

Prior to her appointment with XLMedia, Ackroyd also worked in a number of financial roles for a range of companies, including within gaming at Sky Betting & Gaming.
The news of her resignation comes after a busy year for XLMedia. In August 2023, the company partnered with WRAL.com and secured its place as the exclusive wagering content provider for the news outlet.
In July 2023, XLMedia also announced it had sold three European casino assets for $4m, as well as unveiling a revenue-share contract with bet365 in May earlier that year.
