Fanatics Sportsbook launches in New York

The sportsbook has been launched in three states in the space of a week.

Fanatics Betting and Gaming has made yet another key move in its expansion throughout the US, launching Fanatics Sportsbook in New York. 

This means the sportsbook is now live in 15 US states and has been launched in three of these states in the matter of the last seven days. 

Last Friday saw the Fanatics Sportsbook go live in Michigan, while Indiana became the 14th state within its platform this week on Tuesday. 

Now, sports fans in New York will be able to download the Fanatics Sportsbook on iOS and Android devices. 

Back in August, Fanatics Betting and Gaming began acquiring the US businesses of PointsBet and planning the migration of PointsBet customers to the Fanatics Sportsbook app.  

PointsBet customers in New York will have their username, password, account balance, rewards points and responsible gaming settings automatically migrated to the Fanatics Sportsbook. 

The Fanatics Sportsbook has features that have been built specifically for iOS and Android, with customers also being able to earn up to 5% of their total bet in FanCash, a discover feed and a search functionality. 

Since mobile sports betting was legalised in the Empire State, the market there has continued to grow, becoming the first US state to surpass the $2bn mark in terms of handle for its financial results in October, so it is no wonder Fanatics has decided to enter the New York market. 

In other sports betting news today, Kiron Interactive has boosted its South African presence, via a partnership with SuperSportBet, a newly established operator in the region.
