The Coushatta Tribe has announced plans to expand the Coushatta Casino Resort with the addition of a new luxury hotel.
A ceremony is scheduled for 20 March at 10am, with Chairman Jonathan Cernek and members of the Coushatta Tribal Council in attendance, alongside resort GM Todd Stewart.
The expansion project will commence with the construction of an eight-story luxury hotel featuring 204 rooms, including 100 suites.
Strategically connected to the casino, the hotel aims to provide guests with convenient access to the gaming facilities.
The increase in accommodation capacity, expected to exceed 1,000 rooms upon completion, is anticipated to create additional employment opportunities in the region.
Chairman Cernek stated: “As construction commences, we are excited about all the new venues and upgrades that we will be able to offer our guests, starting with this new hotel. Our goal is to offer our players an elevated gaming experience and that includes top-quality lodgings and high-end dining options. The Coushatta Tribe is leading the way in building an unsurpassed resort destination, both in the local market and in the entire region.”
Situated in Kinder, Louisiana, the Coushatta Casino Resort has nearly 2,000 slots, over 55 table games, live poker, bingo, sportsbook and off-track betting facilities.
In July 2021, the resort partnered with International Game Technology (IGT) to power sports betting. Through IGT's PlaySports turnkey solution, the casino would provide patrons with enhanced gaming experiences.
