Amaya announce Diamond Game deal

Prov

Amaya
iders Amaya have agreed to acquire casino and lottery product manufacturers Diamond Game Enterprises.

The deal, which is at the definite purchase agreement stage, will see Amaya pay an expected $225m for 100% of Diamond Game, while also retiring the firm’s debt.

Amaya Gaming Group CEO David Baazov said: “Diamond Game's lottery technology will increase our lottery footprint in North America.

"We see upside for its latest lottery product, the LT-3, which has already been placed in Maryland and Ontario and which Diamond Game expects to be placed in new jurisdictions in the near future.

“Our extensive game library can be integrated with their lottery technology."

Jim Breslo, president and CEO of Diamond Game, added: “The transaction unlocks value for both companies by pairing our patented technology, innovative products and key contracts in the lottery segment with a well-capitalised entity in Amaya.”
