dinavian firm Paf have become the first operators to go live with the newly-launched Mac OS client from the MPN poker network.
The Mac-compatible downloadable software, which runs in the Adobe Air framework, has the same functionality as the MPN’s ‘instant play’ client, meaning players can compete in all hold’em cash games, sit ‘n’ go’s and scheduled tournaments.
Microgaming head of network games Lydia Melton said: “Mac users are an important segment, but for years operators have been turning them away because they haven’t had dedicated software.
“The MPN is one of only a few networks to offer a Mac-specific client and we are excited to see the uptake from players.”
Paf head of poker Herbert Paradis added: “We know that our players who have Apple devices have been waiting for a downloadable client for some time, and now that we’ve joined the MPN, we are better able to meet our customers’ needs.”
The MPN also offer a downloadable PC client, web-based Flash client and HTML5 client for mobile and tablet devices.
