888 partner with Wynn for US online gaming

Onli

ne gaming giants 888 have agreed a real-money US online gaming deal with casino operators Wynn Resorts.

The arrangement, which covers regulated US states, will see Wynn subsidiary Wynn Interactive utilise 888’s All American Poker Network (AAPN) joint venture for their online poker launch in Nevada.

The agreement also applies to New Jersey but Wynn would need to partner with a land-based Atlantic City casino to launch in the state, as per regulatory rules.

888 powered the recently-launched WSOP.com real-money poker offering in Nevada and have also partnered with the land-based Treasure Island Casino ahead of a future launch in the state.

The AAPN is a joint venture between 888 and investment firm Avenue Capital Group.

AAPN executive chairman David Licht said: “The platform and ancillary services AAPN will offer through 888, coupled with Wynn's marquee brand, which is synonymous with quality and trust, will further establish our offering in the forming US regulated online gaming market."

Brian Mattingley, CEO of 888, added: “This is exactly the type of partnership we’ve envisioned when we formed AAPN with our partners Avenue Capital.

“The challenge of establishing a robust, entertaining offering with ample player liquidity is one of our prime goals.

“Wynn’s market footprint and reputation will allow it to leverage our technology and products as it did so successfully in the land-based world.”
