The 27-year-old will begin his new role on 1 April 2019, leaving the position of Global Head of Advertising & Sponsorship Sales at Sportradar, where he has worked since 2013.

Beier replaces Werner Brecher, whose departure after seven years as Interwetten CEO was announced in November.

Beier said: "These are exciting times for Interwetten, which I am delighted to be able to decisively shape as the new Speaker of the Board. The development of the company has been very positive in recent years.

"Due to the strong management team, the quality and dedication of the highly qualified and long-time employees as well as the unique product, I see Interwetten very well prepared for the next few years to continue the enormous growth potential.”

Wolfgang Fabian, Founder and majority shareholder of Interwetten, said: "I am very pleased that with Dominik Beier we have been able to win our absolute favourite candidate and an outstanding management talent for Interwetten. I have been following his career for some time with great excitement and I am convinced of his outstanding qualities.”
