Affiliate Gambling.com Group has completed the acquisition of Freebets.com and associated assets. The acquisition, finalised recently, is anticipated to impact the company's revenue and adjusted EBITDA for the remainder of 2024.
Charles Gillespie, Gambling.com Group CEO and Co-Founder, commented: “While expansion of gambling in the US grabs all the headlines these days, many of the industry’s most attractive markets remain in Europe, the historical home of the industry.

The acquisition of Freebets.com and related assets involved a total consideration ranging between $37.5m and $42.5m. A portion of this consideration, $20m, was paid upon closing, with additional payments of $10m scheduled for the six-month anniversary and between $7.5m and $12.5m contingent upon the assets' revenue performance throughout 2024.
In July 2023, Gambling.com Group launched Casinos.com, an affiliate site operating under its umbrella. The site provides users with affiliate links to online casino platforms, bonus codes and reviews.
Additionally, the affiliate announced partnerships with media outlets like The Independent, expanding its reach and delivering sports betting and online casino content to an expanded audience.
