Intralot to partner with new Wyoming Lottery

Intralot(new)
alot have been chosen to provide systems and services for Wyoming's first Lottery, WyoLotto.

The Greek suppliers will provide start-up and ongoing services for the new lottery for at least five years with three five-year extension options.

Tom Little, Intralot's President, said: "We are excited to work closely with the Wyoming Lottery to get the games off the ground in a secure and socially responsible manner, to set the stage for future growth and to maximise long-term sales and returns for its beneficiaries."

Jon Clontz, CEO of the Wyoming Lottery, said that he was impressed with Intralot's customer focus.

"Intralot will provide quality systems and user-friendly terminals that make lottery products easy to sell," he said.

Intralot shook off competition from the industry's two other main vendors, GTech and Scientific Games, to secure the contract.

Wyoming Lottery's board voted 7-1 in favour of granting Intralot the deal.

The Wyoming Lottery was signed into law last July and is expected to go live later this year with two draw games: Powerball and Mega Millions.

It is expected to make about $6m profit a year, which will be given to local government, with anything above this figure going to a school fund.

Intralot will take 11.89% of ticket sales as payment, a rate which one Lottery board member, Jim Griffin, considered too high and voted against.
