The developer and distributor of casino table games and enhanced systems has appointed Isaacs several months after he joined SBTech as Non-executive Chairman.
This is the second boardroom role Isaacs has taken since his departure from the Scientific Games board in December.
When accepting his role with supplier SBTech in January, the Australian exec spoke exclusively to Gambling Insider about how leaving Scientific Games was "like handing over my baby."
Galaxy Chairman Mark Lipparelli said: "Gavin brings a rare broad set of skills to the Galaxy Gaming board, including his leadership roles, public company background, international reach and deep industry experience."
Throughout his career, Isaacs has developed strong experience within the area of M & A, something he aims to use to his advantage at Galaxy.
Isaacs said: "I am hopeful my experience in gaming, especially my time in the table games business, and my experience in M & A, will be helpful in driving Galaxy to the next level."
