SGA rejects Viral Interactive’s application to add Ninja Casino to license

The Swedish Gambling Authority (SGA) has rejected Viral Interactive’s application to add Ninja Casino to its current license.

Global Gaming, a marketing partner of Viral Interactive, had transferred the Swedish Ninja Casino domain to the company, which holds a Swedish license for commercial online gaming.

Viral Interactive applied to add Ninja Casino to its other domains on the license, but in light of the SGA’s decision, Ninja Casino will not be able to launch on Viral Interactive’s license until further notice, although Viral can appeal.

Tobias Fagerlund, CEO of Global Gaming, said: "It is noteworthy that the Swedish Gambling Authority, after almost five months of deliberation, chooses to reject Viral Interactive’s application to add Ninjacasino.se."

Fagerlund then referenced SafeEnt, which was granted a review into the SGA’s decision to revoke its license for betting and online gaming in January.

Fagerlund added: "The Swedish Gambling Authority ‘s decision to revoke SafeEnt’s licence has not yet gained legal force and can therefore not be used as an argument.

"It is obvious to me there is a lot of prestige in the Swedish Gambling Authority ‘s decision and that the Swedish Gambling Authority continues to make questionable decisions which in our opinion lack clear support in the legislation."
