Raketech's Board of Directors and CEO Oskar Mühlbach have mutually agreed that Mühlbach will be stepping down from his role due to differing views on the company's strategic direction.
Ulrik Bengtsson, Raketech Chairman of the Board, commented: "During his four years as CEO, Oskar Mühlbach has led the company through a strategic transformation and a growth journey.
"As Mühlbach and the Board of Directors have different views on the strategic considerations for the Company going forward, we have agreed to part companies. The Board is confident in appointing the co-founder and former Board member Johan Svensson to lead the company until a new permanent CEO is in place.”
Johan Svensson, a Raketech co-founder, had previously served as the CEO until 2017 and is currently the CCO for the group. He assumes the role of Acting CEO immediately, following Mühlbach's departure after serving since December 2019.
Raketech's full-year guidance for 2023 remains unchanged despite these changes in leadership. The company has been actively involved in strategic moves, including recent appointments and departures in its leadership team.
Earlier in December 2023, Raketech announced the appointment of Dalia Turner as the new Chief People Officer (CPO). Now former CEO Oskar Mühlbach welcomed Turner, citing her international experience from global tech companies as a key decision maker for the appointment. Turner, who previously worked at Feedzai and Microsoft, now leads strategic HR initiatives across Raketech's global workforce.
This hire followed a series of leadership changes, including board appointments and departures. Marina Andersson and Patrick Jonker joined the Board of Directors, bringing corporate development and international casino experience.
