GGBet, an esports bookmaker, has announced new offerings for the upcoming PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 tournament.
The PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 marks the debut of Counter-Strike 2 as a major event and is scheduled to take place from 17 March to 31 March. With a prize pool of $1,250,000, the tournament hopes to offer intense competition and gameplay.
GGBet’s new offerings for the event will see the company presenting its customers with a chance to participate in a tournament with a $4,000 prize pool along with additional bonuses tailored to each stage of the event.
As such, from 15 March to 31 March, GGBet customers can access special bonuses through the promotions section of the GGBet website. These bonuses coincide with the three stages of the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 tournament.
The esports betting market is one that has grown rapidly and is strongly catered to, especially among young people. A report from Sportradar found that in 2023 esports were the fifth most fixed sport, falling behind tennis and table tennis.
Other developments in this sector include the Malta Gaming Authority's (MGA) approval of Betby's esports solution in January, which will allow the odds feed to be implemented by sportsbooks across a range of territories.
In January, SIS and Playtech also partnered to create a new esports product, offering 24/7 live betting services.
